Medical Mission Trip to the Dominican Republic

Hello friends and family!!!

     I'm starting this GoFundMe page to try and raise some money for a mission trip that Aidan and I are going on to the Dominican Republic with MOCA of WNY in March.  MOCA is Medical Outreach and Community Assistance of Western New York. This organization is a group of high school students, lay people, and medical professionals that have traveled to Ghana and the Dominican Republic over the past 10 years. They have provided much needed medical and surgical care to the underserved people in those areas . Some of the surgeries we will be performing are cesarean sections, hysterectomies, and hernia and fistula repairs. Further support to the communities is also provided by bringing educational supplies for the schools, providing financial support to orphanages, and allocating funds to provide medical insurance for families in different communities.

     This will be my first trip with MOCA and I have the incredible opportunity to bring my 16 year old son Aidan along. He will work alongside other youth on the trip on various community projects. I have no doubt that this will be an incredible opportunity for him.  While my costs for travel and lodging are mostly covered by the organization, there are additional costs I will be responsible for, mainly flight and lodging for Aidan. Any money I raise above and beyond these costs will be given directly to this wonderful organization!
