My name is Morgan Long and I am a family friend of the Koss'. The Koss family has blessed my family is so many ways and I am so thankful to have an opportunity to help give back to them.
Recently, Jeff went into the hospital with what seemed to be appendicitis. The doctors proceeded with the surgery and found that it wasn't appendicitis afterall. The pain was actually being caused by a large tumor on Jeff's colon. The doctors removed the tumor and lympnods in the surrounding area and he has been diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer.
Jeff will hopefully be home with his family before Christmas but has a long road ahead of him. In a short few weeks he will start radiation and chemotherapy.
Jeff is a husband and father to three children: Morgan 13, Connor 11, and Owen 9. He will be out of work and unable to help financially support his family. His wife, Alison, is an extremely hard worker but with the entire family's financial responsibility on her shoulders, it just isn't possible for her to do it on her own.
It will come as no shock to you that Jeff's medical bills are already up to $70,000. This is the number BEFORE he starts radiation and chemotherapy.
It is my hope and prayer that we can pull together as a community and help this family with their expenses, both medical and every day as soon as possible!
