Help Krystal Honor Her Mother's Memory
Donation protected
On October 9th, 2024, as Hurricane Milton was approaching, I woke up to a text message from my best friend, Krystal, giving me the worst news ever. As I stood in my garage and cried for her heartbreak, I had to figure out what I could do to help her, as I knew she would tell me she didn't need anything. If you know Krystal, you know she has a huge heart and will step in to help in any situation, like when she took in her nephews to save them from foster care. She is very stubborn and does not like to ask for help, very much a "I will figure it out on my own" type, because she does not want to feel like a burden to others. Krystal recently took in her parents due to her mother's declining health condition when she was placed on home hospice. Bambi, Krystal's mother, had been placed on hospice care a few times in the past 5 years but was always discharged because she would overcome it. Only this time, as Krystal was preparing her home for a direct hit from Hurricane Milton, she did not realize that saying "goodbye" would be her last goodbye as they took her mother to a nursing home to evacuate the area. The next day, her father was woken up to the news that her mother had "expired," per the nursing home.
I am asking to raise money to help Krystal and her father with afterlife services, a celebration of life ceremony, and general expenses to relieve the financial stress and hardship due to the circumstances.
I know a celebration of life is being planned. If you have any donations for that, please reach out to me directly.
