Help Shrouk study Documentary&Photojournalism

I have hesitated to start this campaign, as I know many people around the world are facing great challenges. However, after the encouragement of loved ones.. here we are!
My name is Shrouk Muhammed Ghonim, and I am a visual storyteller. I graduated from the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University with a degree in journalism. Over the years, my work in journalism has earned recognition, including being shortlisted for the Thomson Foundation Young Journalists Award in 2021.
Photography has always been a passion of mine, and with the encouragement of family and friends, I began pursuing it more seriously a few years ago. I see photography as a powerful visual language in my journalistic projects, and I focus on telling stories related to social issues, particularly those affecting women in our society.
Last year, I was blessed to receive a scholarship from the ECCA Foundation, which allowed me to complete two diplomas at the Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX) in Aarhus, Denmark. This was a transformative experience, both professionally and personally. It broadened my horizons, taught me invaluable lessons, and gave me the chance to connect with new cultures and friends. The experience reignited my passion for photography and gave me the confidence to pursue it further.
To continue my growth journey as a documentary photographer, I’ve been accepted at Hochschule Hannover to study Photojournalism and Documentary Photography beginning in March 2025. While I am thrilled about this opportunity, but unfortunately it comes without a scholarship.
That’s why I’m launching this campaign, because I need financial support to sustain my stay in Germany during this time and also get my visa approved. This requires a sum of 6,000 euros (992 euros per month). Unfortunately, I do not have this amount at present and must raise it as soon as possible to begin the visa process.
This money is for the cost of living +Tuition fees.
If you can help, or even share this campaign with others, it would mean the world to me.
Thank you for your kindness and support!
