Darin Mullins Stroke Recovery Fund

As many of you know Darin suffered a stroke on April 29th of this year. It began as he was returning from a walk with our dog. The symptoms presented themselves quickly and in a frightening instant 911 was called. Instead of the play we were to attend, we rushed to the awaiting ambulance.

We reached Illinois Masonic Hospital and Darin was assessed. Luckily, time was on our side and Darin was given the "life saving drug" and spent the next three days in ICU.

The following two weeks were spent  in the main hospital while his condition stabilized. He was finally discharged from the main hospital and admitted to the hospital's acute rehab floor where he spent the next 10 days doing extensive therapy ; speech, physical as well as occupational.

Darin was discharged May 20 to come home and begin the  long process of outpatient therapy. As you can imagine, this type of care along with what is still needed to ensure recovery with even the best insurance can financially jeopardize a persons financial future.
We've been touched by all those who visited and offered to help. It was from the out pour of requests that this page was created.
Here, those who would like to help Darin with his recovery can give small amounts to help with his medical bills and continued therapy. His current goal is to restore function to his right hand and continue improvements on his speech.

We cant thank all of you enough for the words of encouragement! You mean the world!
