Helping a Nurse in Her Time of Need

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Mimie, and Chang(as she is fondly called) was once upon a time a nurse ready to give her best in caring for her patients.

I am sharing this story in the hopes that we can rally together to help a nurse in need.

You see, she would never ask for anything even though she is hurting and going through trials in life. By writing to all of you and appealing to your kindness we can make her Christmas and New Year memorable.

She has been a nurse for the last 30 years. She came from a faraway country with high hopes and dreams.

She worked in different areas of the nursing profession. From working at the bedside giving the best care to her patients to being in the board room leading a team.

During Covid, she was called back to work at the bedside. It was during this time that something terrible happened.

She lost her vision.

Life was hard as she could not see. Though her vision is slowly coming back it is not good enough for her to be able to work as a nurse again. As a result, she cannot provide for the needs of her family. She was also a breadwinner.

Yet this did not deter her. She never complained. When you ask her how she is doing, she would say that God is good. She was fighting life head-on.

Then three weeks ago something happened again.

Her husband who was helping her with the bills got hospitalized for 2 weeks and when he got out of the hospital he learned that he would need dialysis. They were shocked as this was unexpected.

How will they meet their hospital bills and all their needs?

Family and friends this is why I am writing to you. To appeal to your kind hearts. Along with your prayers may you consider helping in any amount to help a fellow nurse during this time.

The money that will be raised through this GoFundMe will help them with their immediate hospital bills.

Through your kindness may they feel that they are not alone, especially this Christmas season.

Sincerely and with a grateful and hopeful heart,

Mimie
