Help me lay my brother to rest

My brother was just 31 years old when he was unexpectedly taken from us this week. He wasn’t without flaws and struggled throughout his entire adult life with addiction. Addiction never defined my brother as a person, it never stole his sincerity, his compassion or his kind gentle nature.
My brother was amazing. He was the sweetest guy with a heart of gold. His ability to see people for who they were within their heart and never judge a person for their flaws was something to truly admire. Matt had so many things going for him, he was always the funny guy in the room who went out of his way to make sure everyone was comfortable and taken care of. There wasn’t a person in the world he wouldn’t help. If you needed the shirt off of his back, his last dollar or just his listening ear he would be there to give it to you. His loyalty and selflessness for his family, friends, strangers and even animals exceeded anything you could ever imagine. Matt truly was one of a kind with the most genuine, loving soul. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Addiction destroys families, steals lives (often way too soon) and causes deep pain. If anyone has ever lost a loved one to addiction you can understand the heartache this causes. Our family was never prepared for anything like this. We do not have the financial stability to pay for the expense of a funeral. Anyone who knew my brother knows he deserves to be properly laid to rest. If you could find it in your heart to help us , my family and I would forever appreciate it.
