Urgent medical intervention needed
Donation protected
We are writing to you today to ask for your support in raising funds for our 22 year old son's intensive medical treatment. Our son was recently diagnosed with a debilitating chronic mental disorder that affects how he thinks, feels, and behaves. He has had constant struggles with mental health for the past 8 months including 2 suicide attempts.
The symptoms can be extremely debilitating, and they have greatly impacted our son's life. He experiences auditory hallucinations, delusions, disorganized thinking, and severe mood swings. These symptoms have made it difficult / impossible for him to maintain relationships, hold a job, finish college and lead a normal life.
Despite the challenges he faces, our son is a fighter and has shown remarkable resilience in the face of his condition. He wants to get well and he try’s very hard. He needs long term hospitalization in the right program. He has been hospitalized 5 times in the past 8 months with little to no progress because he isn’t receiving the proper treatment. Things are a bit more complex due to him being on the autistic spectrum.
The cost of his treatment is extremely high, and we simply cannot afford it on our own. The programs that are appropriate for him can cost as much as $700 per DAY and insurance does not cover the full cost. The programs are usually 6-8 months and when complete the participants have an 85% success rate. We have been able to find some resources however mental health resources are scarce. We do have the bulk of the money required we just need help with the last little bit.
That's why we're reaching out to you for help. We believe that with your support, we can raise the funds necessary to cover the cost of our son's treatment and give him the chance to live a healthy, happy life.
We've started a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for our son's treatment, and every little bit helps. Whether you're able to contribute $5 or $50, your support will make a huge difference in our son's life.
Please consider making a donation and sharing this campaign with your friends and family. With your help, we can give our son the gift of hope and help him get the treatment he needs to recover.
Thank you so much for your support and for being a part of our journey.
Sincerely,
Chris
