Volunteer Teaching in Ethiopia

Happy New Year! I am excited to let you know that I have been invited as Guest Faculty to teach a graduate course in Education and Technology at Evangelical Theological College (ETC) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia over two weeks in April! This will be my first adventure on the continent of Africa and an amazing opportunity to learn and grow. I will be equipping graduate students to integrate technology into curriculum while also engaging their spirituality within their teaching.

These students will be working towards their Master’s Degree either in Educational Leadership or Holistic Child Development; many of them already teach on the K-12 level though some work in post secondary schools.

Attending Class At ETC

ETC is one of only two accredited theological colleges in Ethiopia. The school draws students from all over Ethiopia, as well as from other areas of East Africa, including Somalia, Burundi, and Sudan, where war has made it difficult to be trained in ministry. I will be equipping future leaders of Ethiopia who are being trained both academically AND in ministry that “expands and matures the church in Ethiopia and beyond.” 

ETC in Addis Ababa

ETC is a non-profit organization that relies on its guest faculty to raise their own funds to travel to Ethiopia. Additionally, the school is expanding so quickly that they bring in guest faculty to teach various courses. I am excited to share this opportunity with you and I greatly appreciate your support!
