my husband was a totally healthy guy. loves our daughter. just 36, working full-time, being a regular dad and husband. in january 2017, he got very sick. he ended up in the icu for over a month, comatose, and we weren't sure he would live. he made it! stayed another 12 weeks in two more hospitals in order to come home. he still has a long journey ahead of him. we are eating into our retirement funds. i lost my part-time job bc of time missed while i stayed at the hospital with him, and to help care for him at home.

we live really frugally now, but things are tight. i am finally able to get a job again bc we finally procured a caregiver! i want to be able to afford equipment he needs, like a new chair, bc insurance is dragging its heels. to pay for utilities and groceries without immense stress. buy our daughter school clothes since she begins kindergarten and has to wear uniforms (just a public school!) keep our minivan bc it fits his wheelchair. everyday expenses, without fearing for our future.
