Trostpflaster - The Free Arts Initiative
With your donation you are supporting the Free Arts Initiative, a project which sends a 'Trostpflaster' (German for small consolation) to those who are vulnerable in these uncertain times. I will also light a candle for those who have lost someone recently.
This project will benefit those who feel low or isolated and the Trostpflaster can be in the form of an artistic card, a relaxing music CD or a calming landscape photograph.
Carers have the option to have the Trostpflaster sent to those they care for. Absolutely every person who feels low or vulnerable is eligible for this project, regardless of their background, race, age, sexual orientation, financial situation or anything else.
As well as enabling me to support and console the vulnerable by sharing art, your donation will also support my projects of creating further music and visual art, at a time when Covid-19 is bringing financial loss and a very uncertain future.
I cannot express how grateful I am for your donation, however big or small. You are supporting art in the most direct way - your donation today will bring a ray of light to someone vulnerable tomorrow. Many thanks.

Artistic Statement
"Art is not really accessible now. A lot of households are struggling financially and art galleries are shut. Not to forget that even when the lockdown eases, a lot of high-risk groups will still be shut in at home.
I thought, why not send a ray of light? That’s all I am trying to do, bring a smile to a face, or calm a troubled mind with a beautiful landscape or relaxing piano music.”

I am a composer and visual artist. In photography I specialise in black and white portraiture and colour landscapes. As a musician I am a pianist, best known for travelling around Europe with an acoustic upright piano. In my composition, I concentrate on classical piano works. My music is very calming, which is why it has been chosen for the NHS Recovery College, helping to support Covid-19 patients with musical therapy.
