Our initiative, the Playground of Life, is how this mother's dream of living her most authentic life alongside her children materialized. Our vision supports children to also live from a place of natural connection, joy and fulfillment, while being supported by community.

The Organization:
The mission statement of Raising Humanity is to create a safe, connected world for families where learning is natural and authentic.
Raising Humanity is the home of Authentic Parenting, where we help families connect to their true nature, together. Within the modern frame of nuclear family living, of parenting, of education and of success, both parents and children were submitted to the pursuit of a rigid definition of success. Many families are experiencing a deep disconnection with themselves and with each other. Parents are struggling; kids are isolated. We want to build a solution to a more compassionate and sustainable way of family for the future.
The Playground of Life is a project under Raising Humanity. It is built as a learning space where families can find a welcoming global community of support to step out of the current disconnected and isolating path of family life and embrace their true nature again.

The Role of the Playground.
The programs can act as a supplement to the traditional education path or serve as an extra-curricular solution for home-schooled families who wish for compassionate, reliable and easily accessible support from their living room!
Our hope is that the playground acts as a constant reminder of how much simpler raising our children can be, if we do it together.
Life IS the classroom.
Relationships ARE the teacher.
We need to go back to living and learning naturally, to help our children thrive together.

- a safe and supportive online learning village, with future plans for in-person gatherings, sustainability projects and student exchanges
- workshops where parents can find avenues to better understand their children
- support for mentors from around the world, as they grow together and find ways to share their gifts more openly
- the playground being brought into school districts and community learning spaces as extra-curricular support
- scholarships for families who are challenged financially

The Future of Learning: A Playground for Authentic Connection. Seeding Hope for Our Children
Regardless of the age, "Play" is how a person:
- freely explores their unique gifts and expression
- develops creative solutions in life and relationships
- feels connected and understood by others
- is fulfilled in everyday life
And we want to create and build this momentum of authenticity and joy through the Playground of Life.
It has been from years of working with parents that we understand the need to prioritize emotional and relational health much earlier on. And this takes a village of support!
Children are a great source of inspiration in this, if given the chance to remain their joyful, creative and boundless selves throughout life. To practice this, we encourage them to show up 100% as themselves and explore when it means to connect authentically to other children and our big-hearted mentors!
Unlike most other learning spaces, the Playground offers kids the chance to be creative and explore themes they’re interested in with mentors who are sharing glimpses of how they play each day.
We have mentors who share art, nature, mindfulness, yoga, dance, and cooking with the intent to invite kids to explore life lessons through the lens of everyday play. The kids can choose which activities they’re interested in as well as which mentors resonate with them. With different perspectives from around the world, all kids have a place in this playground!
Examples of mentors’ regular online sessions include, but are not limited to:
- Take a walk with Joan through the wild bush (South Africa)
- Laughter as our medicine with Theresa (Portugal)
- Creating connection through story with Lily (South Korea)
- Weaving voices into nature’s song with Emily (US)
- Exploring emotional awareness with Sukun (India)
- Dance it out with Kelly (US)
We believe that all children have a natural orientation towards healthy and joyful growth, given the right environment to explore in!

· $1000 - Partial Scholarship to The ReConnection Program for 1 parent or teacher.

How Does The Playground of Life Benefit Everyone Involved?
The Parent
Any parent is first oneself before being called a father or a mother.
Yet, in modern-day society, most parents are feeling lost between responsibilities of work, home care and child raising. This not only leads to overwhelm and a lack of clarity, but also a deep sense of isolation as they attempt to measure themselves against others and lack access to the help they need. This has a significant impact not only on the health and self confidence of the parent, but the child. Naturally, how a parent views themselves and the world is how their children will view themselves and the world.
We support parents through our Authentic Parenting Programs as well as various gatherings and workshops. We help parents take the load off and come back into authentic connection with themselves and their children. Only when a parent is coming from a free, honest and purposeful place can children see the possibilities of life.
The Children
All children are born artists, creators, intuitives; yet rarely recognized for their gifts. In our intellectually-based world, the uniqueness and gifts of our children are often missed to have them fit in and children present with atypical social and emotional behaviors.
In the Playground of Life, with our passionate and inspired mentors, we let the children discover what's within themselves and connect with others through real interactions. They have an environment that is ripe for their growth to follow it's natural course, without struggle or the pressures of comparison!
Children truly are a source of inspiration for all adults, given the space to be fully themselves!
The Family
In our nuclear family unit set-up, we have lost the support of our villages. So the quality of connection between the child and their caregivers is compromised, yet this very aspect determines how the child navigates life and relationships beyond childhood. For a safe level of connection to be possible, parents require more space and support to understand themselves. We believe family needs to go beyond our birth family, to include our teachers, elders and grown-ups who do not have children. It is with those extra hands and helping hearts that everyone feels more seen and supported as they navigate life’s ebbs and flow.
Parents living as their authentic selves and children inspired to experience and experiment with their unique expression often create safe and profound bonds. This is how family comes together to learn, grow and support one another.
The Community
Humans are social animals; yet; in our world today, we could not be more disconnected to ourselves and to others. Through the pandemic, only we realize again how important inter-person connections and community are. Only with community can we find consistent accountability and support.
The Playground of Life is built for community, by community to provide a solution to the challenges of modern day parenting. It consists of:

Through true recognition of individual uniqueness and value, as well as through inter-generation engagement, we not only grow our acceptance of others but our empathy. With this, we can't help but walk towards a future full of potential.
Our lens of the world can continue to be widened through the unique gifts and resources everyone brings forth. The togetherness of community also fosters a culture of trust of oneself, care for another and a sense of belonging.
