VPFP CHRISTMAS MIRACLES

Donation protected
Every year brings new challenges, and this year hasn’t disappointed. Along with lots and lots of happy stories, we again find ourselves in tremendous need of help and support. Please read several specific stories of need below and contribute if you are able. No amount is too small! Please remember that all donations are tax deductible and will ALL go directly towards the care of our dogs! Are you able to send some holiday cheer to some very derserving Pittie Bulls?

SPIKE: Spike came to us from a rural South Carolina shelter with an injured leg, and a smile that melts hearts. His foster mom fell hard for him, but what we thought was a relatively simple injury has turned into a CRITIAL SITUATION extremely quickly. Despite multiple rounds of antibiotics, Spike has only gotten worse. The vet believes there may be infected bone fragments in his leg that could cause a deadly bone infection and time is very much of the essence. Poor Spike is in for a long road of recovery and may end up with an amputation by the time this is all said and done. The estimate for his care is between $2,000-$3,000.

TITAN
Poor sweet, sweet Titan. This old man has suffered so much pain and lonliness in his old age, as no dog should have to. Not only is he in renal failure, but he is suffering on the cement floor of a shelter while battling this horrible disease. It’s hard to imagine a worse way for him to live out his days. He is as sweet as they come, and we are getting him out! Titan will need daily sub cutaneous fluids, a specialized diet, and veterinary monitoring. We are committed to giving this sweet soul a wonderful life, and even though his kidneys may be failing him, we’ll see to it that no person ever fails him again. We estimate spending between $500-$1000 on his care.

GUINNESS
Guinness shouldn’t be on this list. He is a perfectly happy and healthy dog who has a whole lifetime of snuggles, belly rubs, and tail wags ahead of him. However; because of circumstances that had nothing to do with him and mistakes made by the people around him, he recently found himself in a whole bunch of hot water and in need of a doggy lawyer. It was not at all difficult for an attorney to get him completely cleared of all charges, as it was very clear that he had done nothing wrong, but we now have that bill to add to our list. His legal representation is around $2,000.

MOMMIES AND BABIES
This cuteness overload doesn’t come cheap! We currently have 2 amazing mommy dogs complete with 7 bundles of pittie joys! Ooh and aah as we might, these additions mean several rounds of vaccinations, puppy formula, puppy food, deworming, and microchippings, on my! Tragically, several puppies from each litter passed away at the shelter before we were able to rescue them, but we are here now. Can you be there for them too? The expenses for these families will total around $750-$1000.

TANGO
Remeber Tango? This little guy was one of the most expensive dogs in VPFP history and needed around $10,000 in emergency vet care to save his life! These days are behind him now and he is loving life in his forever home, but this sweet little guy dug a hole in our wallet that we are still trying to mend. Despite a very successful fundraising campaign for him, we came in around $2,000 shy of our goal and need your help making it the rest of the way there.
