In 2016, our 11 year old daughter was diagnosed with scoliosis. We were referred to the National Scoliosis Center in Northern Virginia. Luke and his team there were amazing with our daughter. In January 2017, our daughter was fitted for her first brace.
At one of our daughter's appointments, we had Luke check her twin sister. Of course, a slight curve was found. In August 2017, we made an appointment to have her twin sister checked for scoliosis and it came back that she had a curve at 29% already. At the same appointment, our first daughter was rechecked and her curve has now increased to 38% in less than 1 year.
Long story short: We have to fit both daughters for new braces after just purchasing one in January 2016. Our insurance covers part of the costs but the braces cost over $5000 each. Any funds collected will go toward the braces and medical expenses needed for our twin daughters.
We are also asking for prayers physically, mentally, and financially.
