<div>Notre famille : Sarah &amp; Romain, Léo et Denis, 14 ans, atteint de la myopathie de Duchenne

<div>Sarah et moi, nous avons deux enfants. Denis né en 2009 a été diagnostiqué à l’âge de 6 ans de la myopathie de Duchenne exon 44 (la plus sévère des formes de Duchenne, maladie génétique incurable qui touche 1 enfant sur 3500). Cette maladie affecte tous les muscles de l’organisme.

<div>A 10 ans, Denis a perdu la marche et se déplace depuis en fauteuil électrique. Depuis l’été 2023, ses membres supérieurs ont également de plus en plus difficulté à bouger. Denis souffre continuellement et il n’existe aucun médicament pour le soulager. Denis est un enfant vif et éveillé, mais il rencontre aussi des grandes difficultés au niveau cognitif et émotionnel.

<div>Avant la maladie de Denis, nous avons voyagé avec nos enfants (Saint Domingue et 11 mois à Tahiti). A notre retour, en 2016, les médecins lui ont diagnostiqué sa maladie : c’est alors une chronique d’une mort annoncée qui s’est abattue sur nous. Nous nous sommes renfermés sur nous-mêmes en pensant notamment que les voyages seraient inacessibles.

<div>Notre projet : réaliser un voyage de 9 mois autour du monde selon les rêves de Denis

<div>Fan de manga et de culture Akai, Denis aimerait notamment visiter le village de Naruto au Japon, retourner à Tahiti, traverser les USA... Afin de concrétiser les rêves de Denis, nous avons imaginé ensemble l’itinéraire d’un voyage autour du monde selon ses propres envies et nous avons besoin de soutien financier pour réaliser ce projet.

<div>Pour nous quatre, il s’agit de fabriquer des souvenirs heureux car le quotidien de tous les jours ici en Suisse est lourd et nous avons souvent l’impression de vivre dans un hôpital. Nous aimerions ainsi que Denis puisse garder sa joie de vivre et qu’il trouve une sorte de paix.

<div>La santé de Denis se dégradant, nous avons décidé de partir en voyage durant 9 mois entre le 16 novembre 2024 et le 10 août 2025. Durant ce périple, nous irons rencontrer diverses associations dont la mission est de venir en aide aux handicapés afin que Denis rencontre d’autres enfants dans sa situation.
