I am running for re-election to the Roseville High School Board of Education. I am raising funds to pay for my $980 candidate statement, lawn signs, flyers and so that I can get my message out of providing strong leadership and representation for our youth and their families to ensure students finish high school college and career ready.
I believe strongly with our other four school board members that we practice the art of respectfully listening to students, parents, teachers, and taxpayers.
Our strong high schools including Roseville HIgh, Oakmont High, Woodcreek High, Granite Bay High, Antelope High. Adelante High School, Roseville Independence and the Roseville Adult School are filled with successful academic, athletics, and art programs that attract families to our community. When schools thrive, the community prospers.
My intention and focus will include:
1) Respect and support the cornerstone of education, our educators
2) Consider all parent and student concerns
3) Manage and conserve our financial resources.
I am the only member of the Roseville High School Board that attended Roseville High School as most dads, moms, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles, have also attendeed Roseville HIgh or one of our other High Schools in the District and we have all developed respect and loyalty for the Roseville Joint Union HIgh School District.
I especially respect the numerous parent volunteers who fund-raise, tutor, donate, and organize countless events for the District. I also donate my time as the Conference Founder and Co-Cordinator of the Cesar Chavez Youth Leadership Conference at UC Davis!
Our high school students learn to think and act through exploration, play, and curiosity. Our awesome teachers know how to develop critical problem solving skills and creative thinking through their years of practice.
Interpersonal skills such as demonstrating kindness and being a good listener is something I believe in. As your local school board member and your public servant, if re-elected to the Roseville High School Board, I will represent you - the electorate, with humility and purpose. It would be an honor to humbly serve this incredible Roseville HIgh School Board community another four years.
If you live in Roseville, Granite or part of Antelope, you will have an opportunity to vote for three candidates out of four that are running. I am asking for you to vote for me as one of your three votes! This will ensure my re-election! Vote for Rene on Election Day!
Four years ago, I received almost 30,000 votes and won by 38 votes!
And thanks in advance of your donation to my re-election campaign.
Rene Aguilera Candidate for re-election, Roseville Joint Union High School District
