Mijn naam is Diane Doedijns en ik ben dit jaar trots om de titel Ms Voluptuous Netherlands te mogen dragen.
 
In oktober mag ik deelnemen aan een geweldig internationaal traject: de internationale verkiezing in Engeland! Hiervoor zijn de nodige voorbereidingen en uitgaven nodig, zoals een unieke jurk die Nederland vertegenwoordigt, een vliegticket naar Engeland, koffers voor deze reis, een avondjurk en bijpassende accessoires.
 
Ik ben enorm enthousiast dat ik deel mag uitmaken van dit bijzondere avontuur. Niet alleen omdat we een fantastische groep dames hebben, maar vooral omdat ik – als trotse, curvy vrouw – Nederland mag vertegenwoordigen.
 
Maar er is iets dat voor mij nog belangrijker is: mijn advocacy “Love Yourself First”.

Dit thema draag ik met heel mijn hart uit, omdat ik weet hoeveel mensen moeite hebben om écht van zichzelf te houden. Terwijl ik geloof dat juist dát de basis is voor een gelukkig en vervuld leven. Het is niet altijd makkelijk – dat weet ik uit eigen ervaring – maar het is wél mogelijk. En daar wil ik anderen graag bij inspireren en ondersteunen.
 
Tijdens de verkiezing in Engeland zal ik mijn boodschap met passie uitdragen en mijn best doen om dit gedachtegoed nóg groter te maken.
