“Okay, so life decided to throw me into a hospital bed in Chiang Mai from an accident that happened in Pai. Insurance? Didn’t cover.

I’m solo, I’m stressed, but also… still me. Still hopeful. Still smiling. We have done CT scans, X-rays, and all that is damaged is the fibula on my right leg, an open fracture. I just had my first surgery with metals stuck into my bone and am scheduled to get another surgery this Saturday. But I can’t proceed to it unless I’ve fixed my remaining balance. Insurance didn’t cover it, and the total hospital bill is 500,000 Baht. Thanks to some amazing friends, half of it has been paid, but I still need 245,000 Baht to cover the rest.

I’m living here alone as a Filipino in Thailand, stressed and a little scared, but still me. Still thriving.
