Saipan Cares for Animals is a non-profit animal clinic and rescue located in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. We are currently the only organization providing animal medical services in the CNMI, and without a veterinarian on staff we rely on the generosity of our visiting veterinarians for all sterilization (spay/neuter) procedures. Our volunteer vets also help by consulting with our staff on difficult cases, and by performing other surgical procedures such as amputations.
Our visiting veterinarians come from all over the world, including the US mainland, Japan, and Australia. However, since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, SCA has been unable to bring any visiting veterinarians to the CNMI. Our waiting list for sterilization has grown to over 400 people.
We are so pleased to announce that our next visiting veterinarians are going to be arriving in Saipan on November 16 and will be staying through mid-December. This is going to be one of our longest volunteer vet visits ever and we are hoping to make a huge dent in that waiting list!
We are asking for donations in order to fund this visit! We need to purchase surgical supplies and ensure that our volunteer vets have lodging and transportation. We are also setting up a sterilization fund for stray animals so that we can make an effort to bring stray populations down! Money that is not used for this veterinarian visit will be rolled over to our next visit (hopefully in December).

We can also add your name to our sterilization waiting list, but please be advised that any names added to the list now will not be included in this upcoming vet visit. It is a good idea to add your animal to our sterilization waiting list as early as possible, even if they are very young, because it may be a few months before we are able to schedule you for surgery.
