Volunteer Zambia 2022

Hi guys, I am fundraising to support Volunteer Zambia project in 2022

 

Each summer 7 universities send students and staff members out to Zambia for six weeks, to work along side sports action to engage young people in sport. As student volunteers we will be helping deliver school PE sessions and community sport programs to engage hundreds of young people and to improve the number of fun, safe and recreational opportunity’s available.

Along with sports development, vital health awareness workshops are put in place to raise awareness on current issues within Zambia including gender equality,HIV and AIDS which leaves 1.2 million children orphaned in Zambia alone.

This opportunity will be a once in a life time experience, allowing me to put skills I have developed into good practice and help make a difference to the young people that need it the most. Hopefully in Zambia I will be able to make the most of my time there emersing myself in a different culture and developing my skills to aid me in my future career and shape me as an individual.

 

Any donation no matter how big or small are greatly appreciated and will be going to an amazing cause.
