Volunteer King of Kings Ministries Jerusalem

I have been in Israel for the last 6 months during 2019 and volunteering at King of Kings Ministries in Jerusalem
(www.kkm.network). They have extended an invitation for me to stay and volunteer for 2 years from January
2020. There is a need to continue and expand my work, namely to assist the executive pastoral team, to oversee
community groups, men’s ministry and first Encounters (ushers/greeters), to host visiting groups and to serve at
the congregational events and services. I may also continue my activities in the Prayer & Worship Tower and our
‘Manna’ soup kitchen, serving 300 homeless people twice a week. In season, I help with children’s activities.

In March 2009, I left my home country of South Africa to volunteer in the Israeli Defence Force. Consequently, I
have led tours to Israel for the past 12 years. During this period, for the first time since the tragic loss of my
parents and brother in 1987 and 1993, my life’s path finally became clearer. Scripture that I received in the early
hours one morning, which I’m reminded of daily, has become my fortitude... Acts 22 v 10 to 16. “What shall I do
Lord! “What are you waiting for?” Overcoming my own despair and fears so that I may step into the unknown
with a heart of Faith and Truth has compelled me to give service in a world in dire need of unconditional
compassion. God is my Provider and Protector. I have come thus far by the Hand that feeds me and leads my
destiny.

Today, my energy and enthusiasm for life comes from seeing people happy and determined. This is the reason
why I have volunteered for many years in diverse situations and places, especially for the helpless, broken and
needy. Furthermore, I humbly believe that my skills as an organiser in various fields, from business to social, and
all my life experiences have helped and will help to bring practical and spiritual guidance to anyone I meet along
this path.

It’s a privilege to also meet with influential people which gives opportunity to link South Africa & Israel. Charity
extends further than Israel, which is a wonderful outreach. This is another great opportunity to serve in the Holy
Land.

The reason I took the humble decision of writing to you is that I need financial support. I hope that you can help
me in my walk of faith, to be a small part of bringing peace to the nations, as well as to serve as I’m being led.

Without income or personal finances, I need financial assistance so that I may continue the mission and passion
to serve and counsel individuals as part of my life’s walk.

The Hand and Love of God is so needed. Such is the strength of my purpose, that I am currently living on a loan
through my bank, with my house in South Africa as security. I live a very simple life in order to manage
financially. Any contribution would help me to cover the cost of my stay which is around 7,900 shekels per
month. Hence this letter to call for your generosity and kindness.

My passion is to help others who would be blessed by God’s grace and mercy. My intention is to communicate
with all donors through multimedia so that we can walk this exciting journey together. Please include me in your
daily prayers that I will be sensitive to God’s leading and provision for all aspects of my life.
