Volt Portugal - Join the change!

2021 has been an amazing year for Volt all across Europe. In less than a year, we gained representation in not one but two national Parliaments and we couldn’t be more proud of the passion and hard work our elected officials have shown so far.

Right now, we have the great chance to bring our progressive values to the national Parliament in Portugal too! In less than 8 weeks, Portuguese people will go back to the ballot to choose their new elected representatives and Volters could be among them!

My name is António Souza, I am a Political Science student and I joined Volt Portugal in 2018. I am the vice-coordinator of the Portuguese campaign, and I'm here because I truly believe in Volt ideas, that through science and best practices we can achieve a truly democratic Europe based on human dignity.

Our Portuguese team is already hard at work to launch a new and inspiring campaign but we need your support to bring this result home and elect our 5th Volter in a national Parliament!

As Volt does not yet have elected MPs, there is no public funding. The Volters in Portugal depend on donations to fund actions and have been financing large parts of the materials out of their own pockets. We need your financial support to help sharing our message though social media campaigns, flyers, posters, graffiti, outdoor projections, pavilions, parasols, in other words, public relations material - every € helps! I will donate every cent collected in this project to Volt Portugal to finance PR work and promote Volt's programme, minus the transaction fees payable to GoFundMe (2.9% + $ USD 0.30).

We will be running a transparent campaign and share our progresses and activities with you.

Together we can turn Portugal purple!
