Volant, Pa is home to Volant Shops, an eclectic mix of specialty stores nestled along the Neshannock Creek and surrounded by a large, old -order Amish community. Many people from near and far visit this small quaint town throughout the year to experience unique shopping, fly fishing, wine trails and special events hosted by the 20+ merchants in town.
In this day of online shopping, we the merchants, are very grateful to our customers who have supported us, especially through these very difficult economic times. To those that have enjoyed shopping in our stores and partaking in our special events for all these years, we thank you.
We have just learned that The Volant Borough Council has drafted 3 ordinances that will negatively impact not only the future of the Volant shops, but also the special events throughout the year. It is quite possible that even though we are surviving covid, the consequence of these ordinances will result in many shop closures and no events.
Due to the economic stress we are experiencing, please help us fight these discriminatory ordinances by donating to our legal fund.
