<div>Soy Beatriz Padilla, pintora de áreas silvestres y estoy a punto de embarcarme en una manifestación artística, Voces del océano.

<div>Durante 21 días, me encontraré en un campamento en el acuario del mundo, donde pintaré el canto de las ballenas, mientras estoy en ayuno, una huelga de hambre, en protesta por el proyecto Saguaro Energy.

<div>He dedicado mi vida a causas ambientales y ha pintado in situ áreas silvestres amenazadas y protegidas a lo largo de 33 expediciones desde Tierra del Fuego hasta el Caribe y los Estados Unidos, y desde Europa hasta el centro y sur de África y ahora es momento de protestar con una manifestación artística y científica sin precedentes para generar conciencia sobre la conservación de las ballenas y los ecosistemas marinos amenazados por el desarrollo industrial.

<div>Ningún Mexicano debe permitir este proyecto, estaré compartiendo información de mi viaje, pero también información sobre por qué todos tenemos que oponernos a esta invasión a nuestra naturaleza y a nuestra libertad, ya que es un proyecto que no dejará nada, bueno para México, ni para el mundo, sólo la muerte de nuestra fauna marina.

<div>I am Beatriz Padilla, a wilderness painter, and I am about to embark on an artistic protest: Voices of the Ocean.

<div>For 21 days, I will be camping in the Aquarium of the World, where I will paint the song of the whales while fasting — a hunger strike in protest against the Saguaro Energy project.

<div>No Mexican should allow this project to move forward. I will be sharing updates from my journey, but also information on why we must all oppose this invasion of our nature and our freedom. This project brings nothing good — not for Mexico, not for the world — only the death of our marine life.
