Kumamoto Earthquake
Donation protected
On Thursday, April 14 and Saturday, April 16, the city of Kumamoto, Japan was rocked with two massive earthquakes and many aftershocks. The epicenter was in the small town of Mashiki.
I lived in Mashiki when I first arrived in Japan 15 years ago. My host mother is a wonderful woman, She opened her heart and her doors for me and anyone who ever came to visit.
Her house was destroyed by the quakes. She has a little karaoke bar on the first floor that was also destroyed. I'm trying to help her get some livelihood back.
Big relief campaigns will use half your donation for administrative costs. This is a chance to donate directly. I will keep you posted every step of the recovery way.
Please keep the people of Mashiki and Kumamoto in your thoughts.
Extra info to appease the gofundme staff and remove hold.
