I need to buy a car

I am asking my friends, family, hoes and foes for any financial assistance towards the purchase of a car. I will be moving into my own (shared) cottage on James Island April 1st, and to be able to continue my job as a security guard in and around downtown Charleston, I will need to get a car.
Given the short window of time, and an hourly wage of $12, I humbly admit I cannot accomplish this on my own.
I know that this is no small request, but I feel strongly this path ahead is the next part of my journey. Only by your generosity I will begin to leave the nest, with my mended wings and fly. Thank you!
THE JOURNEY
It's been 5 months since I decided to leave San Francisco and begin a new start in Charleston. I have been incredibly fortunate to have the love and support of my sister Miriam, and her partner Daniel, who opened their doors and hearts, undoubtedly saving my life.
For the first time in 8 years, I have found a job that I can take pride in, and feel like I have my feet firmly planted as I begin my next steps. Working as a security guard/bouncer has helped me to realize I have value, and given me the confidence and ambition to realize that I can do the hard work required to change my life and get out on my own, as a healthy functional and happy person.
I have recently discovered that a good friend needs a roommate for her family's 2 bedroom cottage, on James Island. Beginning in April, I will be able to move out of the guest room, and begin my own plhome with a dear friend, and her beautiful baby boy.
So this is where I'm in need of help...
