Help the Yates Family

Donation protected
Some people might have 1 major medical experience happen to them in their lifetime and know how difficult it is to manage mentally and financially.   Unfortunately, my friends, the Yates family has experienced a string of medical emergencies that have taken a huge toll on them financially and mentally.

Over the last few years, Scott, at the age of 48, has had a major heart attack, triple bypass surgery, his main valve replaced and an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) implant.

After the first heart attack, it took him nearly a year to get back to work. Over the course of that year, they received his short term pay for 6 months, while the remaining 6 months he received no pay, as he was denied long term care.  Ten months after this last set back; Scott suffered a stroke that took away his eyesight in his right eye.  As you can imagine, Scott was able to work for 6 months as he rehabilitated, and then needed to look for another job.

Between his recovery, unemployment, medical bills, and all his medication, they have drained their savings and fallen behind on their  mortgage.  They have tried their best to stay current on all the bills, but they have hit the max on their credit cards during these difficult times.  Laura was and still is unable to work, as she is the only caregiver for her husband.

This past week Scott had another surgery at The Medstar Heart Institute in Washington. He is doing as well as everyone has hoped, and is resting at home.  We are praying this surgery will give him the opportunity to recover and regain some mobility so he can possibly go back to work next year.

They  have done their best to maintain their home, but with Scott being unable to do any physical work, they have some minor repairs that need to be done both inside and out.

This is such a difficult situation they are in and $15,000 will help them to get current on their mortgage and bills so they can stay in their home for now while Scott recovers.    If you are able to help them, your generosity is truly appreciated.  Any money received will go toward their mortgage and outstanding medical bills.   Please share this with family and friends and keep the Yates family in your prayers for a promising recovery.   Thank you.
