Er wurde nur 17 Jahre alt und hatte noch so viel vor in seinem Leben. Parsa ist plötzlich und völlig unerwartet verstorben. Zusammen mit seinem Fußballteam hatte er letzten Sonntag, am 20. Juli 25, einen Langlauf am Main gemacht. Am Ende sind alle – wie es dort normal ist – durch den Main geschwommen. Parsa kam nie am anderen Ufer an. Drei Tage später fand die Polizei seinen leblosen Körper einen Kilometer flussabwärts. 
 
Seitdem ist für seine Mutter eine Welt zusammengebrochen. Sie war alleinerziehend und Parsa ihr einziges Kind. Genau wie ihr Sohn ist sie in ihrem Heimatland wegen ihrer Konvertierung zum Christentum vom Staat verfolgt worden. Sie wurde zu einer 12-jährigen Haftstrafe verurteilt. Deswegen floh sie aus ihrer Heimat und lebt nun in einer Stadt im Osten der Türkei. Seit dem Tod ihres Sohnes kann sie nicht mehr arbeiten und ist finanziell mittellos. 
 
Mein Name ist Bettina Schulze. Ich bin die Initiatorin dieses Spendenaufrufes. Seit fast 10 Jahren helfe ich ehrenamtlich Geflüchteten. Besonders am Herzen liegen mir Menschen, die wegen ihres christlichen Glaubens verfolgt wurden und deswegen ihre Heimat verlassen mussten. 
 
Ein befreundeter Pastor berichtete mir von Parsa. Seitdem hat mich sein Schicksal nicht mehr losgelassen. Inzwischen stehe ich in engem Kontakt mit seiner Mutter und Cousine in der Türkei. 
 
Parsas Mutter, arbeitsunfähig und ohne jegliche soziale Absicherung in einem fremden Land lebend, wird die auf sie zukommenden finanziellen Belastungen nicht tragen können: Überführung seines Sarges in seine Heimat, Bestattungskosten, Miete und Lebensunterhalt, solange bis sie wieder arbeiten kann und möchte, und alles, was jetzt noch gar nicht absehbar ist. 
 
Diese Sammlung ist dazu gedacht ihr zu sagen: Du bist nicht allein. Wir sehen dich in deinem großen Leid. Wir sind betroffen und fühlen wie es Dir gehen muss. Wir stehen Dir bei.

He was only 17 years old and had so much planned for his life. Parsa passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. He and his soccer team had gone cross-country skiing on the Main River last Sunday, July 20, 2025. In the end, everyone swam across the river—as is customary there. Parsa never made it to the other bank. Three days later, police found his lifeless body a kilometer downstream. 
 
Since then, his mother's world has collapsed. She was a single parent, and Parsa was her only child. Just like her son, she was persecuted by the state in her home country for converting to Christianity. She was sentenced to 12 years in prison. As a result, she fled her homeland and now lives in a city in eastern Turkey. Since her son's death, she has been unable to work and is financially destitute. 
 
My name is Bettina Schulze. I am the initiator of this appeal for donations. I have been volunteering to help refugees for almost 10 years. I am particularly concerned about people who were persecuted for their Christian faith and had to leave their homeland as a result. 
 
A pastor friend told me about Parsa. Since then, his fate has haunted me. I am now in close contact with his mother and cousin in Turkey. 
 
Parsa's mother, unable to work and living in a foreign country without any social security, will not be able to bear the financial burdens that lie ahead: transporting his coffin to his homeland, funeral costs, rent and living expenses until she can and wants to work again, and everything else that is currently unforeseeable. 
 
This collection is meant to tell her: You are not alone. We see you in your great suffering. We are affected and feel how you must be feeling. We are with you.
