Rob's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
On February 4th, my sister's husband and my brother-in-law, Rob, suffered injuries when he fell from a ladder while taking the Christmas lights down.   He shattered the right side of his skull into 7 fragments and underwent emergency surgery to remove the small frags in his brain.  He was in surgery for 3-4 hours and the surgeon said he got the brain bleed under control.   The next few days were very scary and he underwent several scans and an MRI to check on his brain.

Over the last week, he has made great gains and is no longer in an induced coma but is in and out of consciousness as the brain is trying to heal.  As with any brain injury, his prognosis is so unknown.  We will have to wait and pray that each day brings more gains than setbacks.    We are not too sure if he has any damage to his eyes/eyesight as the swelling is quite severe.  He does recognize my sister, his brother Bill and his sister Brenda, as well as other family members and special friends as they come to visit, all VERY positive.  As this will be a slow go, eventually when his brain swelling goes down, the craniectomy hole in his head and his broken facial bones will have to be reconstructed and he will more than likely need months of rehabilitation to regain his strength.  Like I said above, his prognosis is so unknown at this time....but I will provide updates.

Terri and Rob own their own business and while Rob recovers, I would like to extend to our friends, family and anyone that can help this option to help financially so Terri can focus on Rob getting stronger.   This money will be directed to rent, bills, and the extra expenses of commuting and parking at the hospital, and eventually any aids Rob may need when he comes home.  We just want to help relieve some of the burden.
Thank you for your continued prayers, its a powerful thing and please keep the encouraging messages coming.
