HELP DEREK FIGHT KIDNEY DISEASE

I have been able to take care of transportation, numerous prescriptions, medical bills, invoivces, tests and procedures because of the so many of you that have generously contributed and donated to my campaign that my buddy Rob Wood originalIy created to support my cause and fight. Due to a few recent set backs, I will be spending the next few weeks and probably months seeing Specialist's & Doctors, undergoing tests and continuing to try and stay out in front of a ridiculous amount of medical financial burden as well as a disease that is killing me. This page is not for pitty or waste, but for those that want to give up or think they will not make it. Yes, I am tired and alot of times weak & afraid of my disease. It has wounded so much of what I used to be and are able to do. Now facing another year, new as it may be, we continue to not find matchable organs or cure diseases and cancers. Great Men and Women, fathers, brothers, sisters and mothers battle, fight, scratch, claw, scream and yell to stay alive with every ounce of everything they have to give. Some of these lives spared, but most are being silenced. Families ravished, loved ones left behind and memories the only thing left. Sad, but very true. We have lost to many of these great souls to breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, bone marrow cancer, brain cancer, kidney cancer, SIDS and ALS during my fight alone and it continues to destroy my heart and mind but not my soul. I have been given, at least for now, another year to wage even more my fight against my disesase and diagnosis. To continue to help those that are in need of more love and support then I am. To fight to stay positive and be thankful for each day the good lord or whotever is up there has given me because my family and friends parish while I am still allowed the chance to BEARDOWN, fight and pray for help.
I have been diagnosed with ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease) that has caused many complications, surguries, treatments, rehabilitations and set backs since April 12, 2014. During that time I have been diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease, Acute Right Kidney Cancer, Epilepsy, Spinal Cord Abscess, Mitral Regurgitation, Caveola Vesicle Complexes, Sickle Cell Anemia, Restless Leg Syndrome, Gout, Factor V Liden, Vertigo, and Anxiety Disorder. These diagnoses have led to a Right Nephrectomy (Removal of Kidney), Chemo Thearary and Radiation, Dilaysis 3 times a week (5 hours a treatment), 24 Blood Transfusions, 11 scars, 8 Catheters, Spine Surgery, Bone Fragment Removal of Left Hip for insertion between 5th/6th Spine Vertabrae, 2 Permanet Screws in Spine, Blood Clots throughtout chest, lungs and arms, Fevers, Fainting, Urinating Blood, Hallucinations, Temporaray Paralysis, Uncontrollable Vommiting, Swelling, Seizures, Hives, Physical's, MRI's, CT Scans, Ultrasounds, a Gastroscopy & a Colonoscopy.
All of these adversities forced numerous 911 Calls, Ambulance Transports, ER, ICU, Hospital visits and weekly or monthly stays. During this time I have been with or surrounded by Specialist's, Orderlies, RN's, Resident's and Doctors that have poked, prodded, strapped in and down, given a cane, crutches and walker to walk, wheelchair, drugs, opioids, medications, medications for my medications and more medications for my medications. I have 9 lives + 9 more which each time become more daunting and scary but obtainable. Extremely fortunate to say the least, today is a new battle that is much of the same but a battle that I fight so that today's challenges are tomorrow's answers. I am blessed with all of your friendships, your love and support and thank you more then you ever know. It is difficult to ask for help and need help when for so long I never required or needed so much assistance and aid. I am forever grateful and will continue to give back and give thanks daily. One day at at a time and only one day at at a time...
