<div>On April 8th, our world flipped upside down. You see, this is the day we found out not only that <strong>Jordan should be dead but also that he had leukemia.</strong>

<div>This all started several months before with Jordan not feeling “good.” He was tired no matter how much he slept, had a higher than normal heart rate, and was dizzy at times. In true Jordan fashion, he pushed through until it was getting to be too much. After multiple visits to urgent care and no answers, he was able to get an appointment on April 7th with a general practitioner. Although she was leaning towards a diagnosis of vertigo, she ordered labs, and thank goodness she did. The morning of April 8th, Jordan got a call from the doctor's office telling him to head straight to the ER. His hemoglobin was at 4.7 (normal is between 13.5-19), and by the time he got to the ER, it was down to 2.3. We were later told that someone with a hemoglobin number this low would typically have gone into cardiac arrest and not survived, but Jordan walked back to the room unassisted. That day, he received 3 red blood cell transfusions, and after the first one, he was ready to take on the world. On April 9th, he had a bone marrow biopsy, which later gave him his official diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), and he started his chemo treatments on April 14th. Three different types of chemo over a 5-day period, and he handled it like a champ. It was the weeks following that were much harder for him: fevers, blood infection, kidney pain, trouble eating and keeping foods down, CT scans, MRIs, and too many transfusions to count (both red blood cells and platelets). What should have been a 30-day hospital stay turned into 52.

<div>After coming home on May 29th, he has had to go to the clinic 3-5 times a week for follow-up appointments, labs, and even transfusions.

</div>

<div>His continued treatment plan was home for 3 weeks and then back to the hospital for 3 days of chemo, then back home again for 3 weeks. This would all happen over a 3-month span, giving him an additional 3 rounds of chemo treatments.

</div>

<div>As if this was not enough, yesterday (June 18th), he was hospitalized with meningitis, and because of the severity of the headaches he has been experiencing, they also did an MRI where they found a 4mm mass on his brain.

</div>

<div>Although Jordan has amazing medical insurance through his work, it does not take care of everything. The hospital bills have started coming in, and with him on long-term disability, he is only receiving 60% of his pay. He still has lengthy hospital stays, chemo treatments, and the possibility of radiation in his near future.

</div>

<div>The funds raised from this <strong>GoFundMe will go towards out-of-pocket medical expenses</strong> (which include but are not limited to copays, medical bills, prescriptions, etc.), gas for outpatient appointments, vehicle maintenance, and any other expenses related to his diagnosis.
