For Toby

Last night, my grandparents’ pom-poodle pup, Toby, escaped from their yard and made his way down Fifth Avenue where some psychopath shot him in the head. When he was found, he was rushed to North Star Animal Hospital where they proceeded to do tests to assess his injuries. Ultimately the brain damage was so severe he had to be put down. My Grandfather is a veteran and this dog was not only his best friend but also helped with his PTSD and depression. Toby was the sweetest little dog in the world.  There are no words to describe how much he meant to our family.  I’m starting this fund to help with some of the medical expenses they incurred trying to save him. If you can donate anything at all we would be forever grateful,  and if you are unable to donate, just your support during this difficult time is enough. The outpour of concern and sorrow from the community has been greatly appreciated. Please do one last thing in Toby’s memory: keep an eye on your pets and give them a little extra love. Thank you,
