Viviana Hernandez is in her first year at California Baptist University in Riverside California, where she is studying to be a nurse. She chose CBU so that she can continue to grow as a believer of Jesus Christ while being in an environment where she can be positively influenced by others as she also influences them.
She was born and raised in Southeast Fresno, where she has 5 sisters and 2 brothers who were all raised by her single mom. Viviana is very open about her story of her dad leaving during her younger years and not being there for her. Despite this she clinged to her mom, siblings, and the family of God (the Church) and was able to accomplish so much in her life. She became a servant leader in the church and in her school and seeks to serve God in which ever way He calls her to.
She is currently having financial hardships with her educational fees and has shared that she is struggling with the decision of whether to stay or come back home. She gets financial aid and has applied for loans to help her thus far, however it is not enough. She is seeking God in prayer for her decision.
She currently has a remaining balance of $2,589 that she needs to pay before registering for classes next semester. Also, she will need to pay an additional $1,500 each semester to be in the nursing program that she went there for. We Love our Viviana, but we don't want to see her come back until she is done with school. We believe that we can be God's answer to her prayers. So we are setting a goal of $5,000 to help Viviana with her schooling.
