 Beste, in de nacht van zondag op maandag 17 augustus 2026 werd onze hengelvijver getroffen door een acuut zuurstoftekort. Het afsterven van wier en blauwalg, samen met zware neerslag heeft het water doen "keren". Het visbestand is zo goed als volledig dood. Brasem, snoek, paling, baars, voorn, spiegel- en schubkarper. Alles lag boven. Ook een aantal zilver- en grootkopkarpers van 45j oud overleefden niet. De hengelclub De Karpervissers Oostende VZW kan dit verlies niet alleen dragen, het zal duizenden euro's kosten om dit visbestand opnieuw op op enig niveau te krijgen en jaren duren voor de karpers opnieuw mooi bestand vormen. Ook de uitgezette graskarpers om het wier onder controle te houden zijn dood. Elke steun ,hoe klein ook kan ons helpen het visbestand opnieuw op te bouwen. Waarvoor dank.
