Hey, guys. Some of you may know me or are brought here by chance. I have sickle cell anemia, which is a terrible and painful blood disorder that causes flare-ups very frequently. It affects almost every organ, including the eyesight and bones. My bone deterioration was just the start, and now it's affecting my eyesight. I can't do daily tasks like cook, read, drive, and sometimes even get my prescriptions mixed up due to not being able to read them correctly. I have looked on alternative websites and I unfortunately need special lenses due to my illness, which brought me to this website.
I'm hoping to get as close as possible to my goal while putting up money every month from disability so I can get my glasses. Since I am 27 now, I don't have double coverage anymore, and I have Medi-Cal/Medi-Caid. My glasses ended up being $180, which I sadly cannot afford. I currently just opened up a new savings account to slowly add money to it. A family member suggested trying this because you never know what can happen. Thank you all for taking time out of your day to just read this, as I'm super grateful and don't expect anything.
