Vishal Tendulkar's Dream

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Bahir and I am fundraising for the family of the late and beloved Vishal Tendulkar. Vishal at the age of 33, passed away in a kayaking accident on Saturday, June 4th, leaving behind his daughter Aarohi, 7 and his wife Nikita.

Vishal loved the water and he wanted to take his daughter on his kayak in the Rockwood Conservation area. He told his wife he would return shortly, but that would be the last time she would see him. He placed his 7 year old daughter in the kayak and paddled away. For some unknown reason, the kayak flipped over. Some onlookers later revealed, that Vishal freed his daughter from the kayak so that she was able to float to the top. Unfortunately, Vishal was unable to free himself, and tragically drowned. Sensing the commotion, the onlookers dove into the water to save Aarohi, but it was too late for Vishal. His lifeless body was pulled out of the water at 5:30pm without any vital signs.

Aarohi was his life. He spoke of her endlessly and how him and the family would reunite eventually in Canada. Rewind back to two years ago, Vishal immigrated to Canada from India in search of a better life for his family. He arrived alone and found a full-time job as a Marketing Manager at a venture capital firm. I met him at the same firm in August of 2020. Our professional and personal relationship grew quickly. Vishal was an intelligent, talented, charming, and charismatic worker. He worked long hours and weekends to prove that he was fully capable of mastering his job properly.

Vishal's aspiration was to become the head of marketing at any firm and in the winter of 2021, he began to search for that titled career. He landed a job as the Vice President of Marketing in April of 2022. Only 6 months before that, his wife Nikita and Aarohi immigrated to Canada to join Vishal and start a brand new life together.

Within a month of starting his new job, this tragic accident took his life, leaving his newly immigrated wife and daughter to fend for themselves. Aarohi has her whole life ahead of her, and Nikita is lost in trying to put all the pieces together in this new land.

Although Nikita is employed, it is hardly enough to live in Toronto and bring up a 7 year old on a single income. I would like to appeal to friends, family, businesses and strangers alike to hear the plight of this family and the tragedy they have witnessed. It is unfathomable, what they must be going through. One can only imagine the pain and suffering in their hearts. As a society, I urge the readers of this to feel their pain, and take action to make their future lives a little bit better, a little bit happier, a little bit more comfortable.

Nikita and Aarohi lost the patriarch of their
family who wanted to give them everything. Now, apart from the tremendous loss that they have suffered, they are forced to manage with the financial burdens of the funeral, rent, food, and other expenses in the present and the future. Let us help this family at a time of desperate need. Let us open our hearts and give. Give whatever you can to make a difference in Nikita and Aarohi's lives.
