This GoFundMe page is for Kindergarten student, Violet Pellew. Sweet, caring, smart and sassy are all adjectives that describe Violet. Unfortunately, Violet has been diagnosed with Myeloid Leukemia, which has caused swelling to her eyes and other physical ailments. Violet will require surgeries and chemotherapy to help her beat this, which she will.
Violet is being treated at Cohen’s Children’s Hospital in New Hyde Park, New York. This is 30 miles away from her home in Brooklyn. Her father will have to drive a couple of times a day to visit Violet and shuttle family members. Her mom has also been forced to reduce her work schedule to only one day a week. This account will provide the family with money for food, transportation and gifts for Violet during this challenging time.
As a community of hearing and Deaf people, we have to band together to help one of our family members in need. With selflessness, generosity and togetherness, we can help our Violet beat this. We all have faith in her fighting spirit to overcome!
