Hi guys my name is Vickie Hinojosa from Wauchula Florida. This GoFundMe was started for my mother Viola Maldonado. Below is a little bit about her story.
On July 28, 2017, our mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Throughout her journey, she remained full of joy and faith-filled. Momma went to Milwaukee, WI, to stay with family, when she heard that hurricane Irma was expected to come right through central Florida; including our home-town of Wauchula. Mom was expected to fly back to Florida, but was unable to do so, as she felt that she could not physically endure the trip back home.
While in Milwaukee, mom was admitted into a beautiful hospice house, where she had a precious view beyond a set of French glass doors. Well-manicured grass and foliage; butterflies flying; birds chirping and hopping about looking for food. My favorite was the changing leaves that covered the ground, giving the appearance of a lovely blanket of yellow flowers covering the ground. Truly a place of serenity.
It was in this setting that mamma reminded us that she lived her whole life dedicated to the Lord so that one day she could go home to see Jesus. One day came for her on September 20th, 2017. Before her parting, she shared how she could see our daddy calling her; she could see her mom and with a smile, said, "They're all waiting for me."
Mamma lived her whole life dedicated to the work of the Lord and spreading the gospel. We have the blessed assurance that mom is resting with Jesus. If you really knew our mamma, you know that she is most likely running the streets of gold, gazing across the crystal sea, and exploring all that heaven is.
Thank you for loving our mom as much as we did and for letting her be a part of your life. These funds will be spent on my moms funeral expenses and her memorial grave stone.
