Help Vinyl Fantasys Expansion

When Joe and I first opened Vinyl Fantasy in October of 2013 we wanted to share our love of comics and vinyl with others. Throughout these past 4 years we have met and interacted with such an array of people and have built some really meaningful friendships.  

The situation with our lease has always been weird. We inherited a lease that included an attached illegal living space.  Keeping those rooms filled with tenants became another aspect of running the store. Recently, the tenants in the back bailed on the apartment, out of nowhere, and now our landlord is forcing us to either expand the store or close. Because we were caught off guard with all of this, we don't have all of the funds we need to do the construction. Right now, its do or die for Vinyl Fantasy.

The total cost is going to be somewhere around $20,000 most of which we are going to take out of our personal funds so that the store can continue to operate like normal. The money we are trying to raise is going towards the basic cost of building materials: cement, sheet rock, paint, bx cables, plywood

We need your help with the expansion of the store. We need to blow the walls out and double the size of the Vinyl Fantasys space. We plan on doing most of the construction ourselves. By renovating Vinyl Fantasy on our own we keep to the same DIY mentality we had when we first opened and have continued to maintain during our operations. Our friends, family and some of our customers have already offered their time in assisting with both the demolition work and the renovations. 

If you have even a $1 to lend, it would go a long way. If you can come help bag up garbage, demo some walls, or help paint, it would be amazing. If you're a skilled carpenter or craftsman and you would like to volunteer your time in that regard, we would be forever grateful. If you want to swing by with a pizza and a six pack, we'd love the company. Every little bit helps.

Money will go towards the following:
-New shelving supply costs
-Work Permit
-New lighting and cost of a professional electrician.
-New flooring
-Building materials

Stressful-ness aside, freeing up all that space for the store may lead to a number of really exciting possibilities.
