Vinny and Mikayla Fischer are a young, adventurous, loving, and faithful couple who just celebrated their second wedding anniversary. Sadly, these two amazing people were involved in a horrific motorcycle accident on Saturday, October 21, 2017 and taken to different hospitals due to the severity of their injuries.
The quick thinking of a bystander who applied a torniquet to a brutally severed leg, might have saved the life of 24 year old Vinny, who had suffered life-threatening blood loss at the scene of the accident.
Wife, Mikayla, 23, had been thrown from the motorcycle, sustaining multiple fractures and internal injuries. Both were rushed to area hospitals.
After being stabilized, Vinny was subsequently airlifted to a second hospital where he is currently on a ventilator and heavily sedated. He is undergoing a form of dialysis and being treated for mult broken bones and internal injuries.
Mikayla has come through an 8 hour surgery successfully, which included placing a rods along side in her lower leg.
Her spirits are high.
Though she has more surgeries and physical therapy ahead of her, Mikayla prays that her healing and recovery will be a testimony to God.
She sends video prayers and encouragement to her husband, Vinny, as they are in two different hospitals, and she has asked that worship songs be played close to Vinny’s ears, hoping he can hear them.
Giving glory to God for the peace He has brought to our hearts, an abundance of prayers go out to this faith-filled couple.
These two beautiful souls have a long haul ahead of them and we would like to ease their burden and provide financial support for the many expenses they will incur.
