Ving and Hunter Honduras 2018

On June 11th, Ving and Hunter will be traveling with 12 other young adults to the rural villages of Lizapa and Galeras in Honduras for the purposes of Gospel ministry to those living in the surrounding areas.
Honduras, the second poorest country in Central America, suffers from extraordinarily unequal distribution of income, as well as high underemployment. As much as 65% of the population are considered living at the poverty level with generational poverty an ongoing problem which makes it hard for many youths to leave these rural villages for college educations to break that cycle. We come to bring hope, food, ministry to local churches, and sports ministry while playing soccer at camps with scores of youth. In all that we do, we proclaim the Good News of salvation through Jesus.
We can feed a family for a month with rice and beans for only $20. We want to feed as many families as we possibly are able to. We plan to distribute soccer balls and athletic equipment including soccer goals and training vests to as many schools and churches and teams as we are able to as well. And, we want to distribute the Gospel of John in Spanish to as many individuals as we possibly can. This is where I would like your help – funding for the food and supplies and bibles needed for the ministry to have the biggest impact.
