Vincent's speech therapy
Hi friends and family!
Our precious cinnamon bun Vincent is in need of help. We have seen remarkable changes in David after his own speech therapy and are hopeful to see the same in V. While we are working with Vincent daily, he is still in need of professional help.
Unfortunetaly, our insurance will only cover part of the therapy as V has not hit his deductible (he's not even close). This leaves us with paying approximately $68.00 per session. V will require two sessions per week for at least six months or a year, if not more.
Additonally, he will be visiting an ear/nose/throat specialist as his speech issues may be stemming from possible hearing problems. If this is the case, he may need tubes inserted into his ears.
This is a deeply humbling experience for me, as many of you can understand I try to be as independent as possible. I have tried my best at figuring out another way not to burden friends, but there is nothing else I can possibly sell or pawn to pay for these treatments. I am still paying off David's therapy bills as well and V's therapy will further strain our budget.
I have looked into other options and opinions but speech therapy is definitely the way to go. It has been recommended by not only our family pediatrician (whom I trust with the lives of my children and who has never led us astray) but also by a family friend who is a speech therapist herself. There is nothing more important than the well-being of my children and if ST will help V, then he will receive ST. I will continue to work with him as best I can as well.
