A couple days ago my squad and I began our 6th month/country on the field and today we found out that my team and I will be partnering with our hosts to reach out to the people of the Hindu, Buddhist and Animist faith by hiking into the mountains and out into the wild into villages of the Unreached People Groups that haven’t heard of Jesus before and bring in Bibles!! We won’t be staying in one place but, going from village to village. We will begin with the villages in the plains and then make our way into the villages in the Himalayas mountains! When we’re going to be in the Capital city, we’ll go to children’s homes and will reach out to the sick where I’m expectant of His healings!
A couple days ago I began a personal fundraiser of $1,500 and am now at $380 raised with $1,120 left to meet my personal goal! Some donations were received directly so my gofundme won’t reflect my updated funds raised. Very humbled and grateful for the support I have received!! Below is my heart and explanation to my ask;
Over the past few months I have been able to be part of so many amazing ministries. From helping a widow’s dream come true about having a restaurant. To street evangelism with about 90 lives (to date from beginning of trip) that have made the decision to receive Jesus into their hearts!! To teaching English to the children of the floating village in Cambodia. Going into prisons and hospitals. Helping ex-convicts get back on their feet in a life rooted in Christ and free from their past after being in prison for murder, human trafficking, rape, etc. Healings have happened; physical, emotional and spiritual!
Praises to God, I have raised the financial support needed to cover my cost of living while on the field; lodging, airplane and bus travel and food(5$ per day for food). These funds were raised by me through the World Race organization and are held by World Race because they take care of payments, in the background, with these funds.
I sold many belongings before leaving the US but had to use most of those funds to pay for immunizations and to buy supplies before leaving the US; and the remainder of those funds is coming to an end. I am reaching out because I would also like to raise $1,500 for my personal account for the next 6 countries/7 months left on the field. By giving through my PayPal or GoFundMe accounts(info below), I will be able to access these funds directly from the field, and would be so grateful!
These personal funds will help replenish my supplies. Access to food with needed nutrients or healthy food such as fruits and vegetables is limited so I need to take/replenish vitamins throughout the months. When I do have access to such foods, I would love to someday have a meal other than rice and sauce. Although I’m quite grateful for even just that!
I’d also use personal funds to buy new clothing (as I’ve lost some weight) and clothes also get ruined with time with labor or because of using river/lake water for washing. We also have the opportunity of a couple “off days” each month, and this would allow me to join my teammates on some fun outings/exploring... no spending for outings will be covered by the World Race funds raised so, if I join my teammates, any spending has to be from personal funding.
