HANDICAP VAN FOR GULF WAR NAVY FLYER

TOM, Commander Thomas J.Winkler USNR (RET), his wife Nina and daughter Liberty need a new van for basic transportation of Tom to assist him in travel to medical visits with doctors, labs. therapies and hospitals. President Clinton cancelled one Naval Air Wing and disbanded the squadrons, thus Tom will not receive his navy pension until he reaches age 60.
We request assistance and will appreciate help in raising money to purchase a new van that is equipped for handicapped access.
Their present van has reached "old age" with almost 250,000 miles and will soon collapse!
Tom served in a US Navy Air Squadron, VS-22 Checkmates for two tours in the Persian Gulf Area during Gulf Was 1, Operation Desert Storm, aboard the US aircraft carrier John F. Kennedy CV-76. During these several years of flight action, (he experienced several hundred "cats and traps", catapults and landings with about half of them at night) he began to experience the first physical indications or symptoms of neurological problems and subsequently, through the years developed two neurological diseases, Transverse Myelitis (Devic) and Multiple Scleroses, MS.
Because of this Tom now suffers a lot from paralysis, and the pains of MS and is handicapped and can not walk. He went from flying in Navy Jets to "flying" an electric scooter.

Peggy and I live in a senior retirement community, Ann's Choice in Warminster, Pa, We and Tom's five siblings and some relatives contribute regularly so Tom and Nina can stay in their home and we can not finance a new van. Nina had to leave employment to become a full time care giver for Tom, so they have no income.
PLEASE HELP THEM TO OBTAIN FUNDING FOR A NEW VAN! THANK YOU.
