Viet Vet needs Handicap Vehicle

Donation protected

I stayed away from the VA as long as I could feed my family and pay for my recovery. But I fell off the side of my Mixer and was forced onto SS Disability. The VA replaced my Wheelchair with one to heavy for any Rear Carrier and it broke the old one. A vehicle I can ride into, second hand is priced at 80 to 100 thousand. I hate to beg but if you can help my wife drive me around and you're willing I pray YHWH blesses all of you and your families.

Just a note:

I served eight years, 2 with the Cavalry in Vietnam and the last six months, an extended tour, in Siagon. All of our Grunts thought the Killer Spades were nuts but they were wrong... we just did not like people shooting our Grunts, they had a bad enough life in that Jungle.  I know my Agent Orange induced Multiple Sclerosis is nagging at me because I was a young fool... I never was drafted and it took a letter to my Senator, Ralph Yarborro before I could get my form 1049, request for transfer, past my Battalion Sgt, Major.

It is the truth that I volunteered to serve and it is true I did not have the good sense to realize that volunteering for three tours in Vietnam was not good and that those shells, rockets and mortars might mess me up, after all, was I not a Super Man flying in an aluminum can with three other Super Men?

My wife and I are both in our mid-seventies and we both knew the
new chair from the VA did not come with a lift that could carry it down the road.  Having a lift that was the correct demensions we used it but when we crossed one railroad crossing the chair broke the platform and bent the verticle rails.

On top of that we need a new windshield and our GMC seems to be in love with our mechanic.  It just might be time to let the  old girl go.

If any are truly interested, I have written a piece of Historical Fiction that is available at Amazon and I am currently writing the nonfiction account of my conversion to a Bond Servant of the Most Holy YHWH, Yashuah, His Son and Ruach, the Holy Spirit.  The link is included below.

Please remember, the Book is about events that took place but I took and used Artistic Liberty.  I was involved in the events but I am not some kind of hero, I'm very much just an old man that no longer drives or walks.  The Young Man's Journey To War is all factual until I speak on the war.  The reason for me taking Artist's Liberty with the rest of it is, I can no longer remember names nor would I ever tell their names and the worst part of that time is not written, anywherte, to my knowledge.

Again, may YHWH bless you and yours, give or not.
