Victory for Vincent

Little Egg Harbor native, Pinelands graduate class of 1986, Vincent DiFrancia grew up at the Jersey Shore and was always a determined strong willed hard working American living the dream. Married to his Kindergarten sweetheart Theresa Brady they moved out to Pennsylvania where Vincent is an Engineer at Lutron Technologies. Just celebrating their 18th wedding Anniversary Feb 15th and looking forward to a Spring and Summer of relaxation, God has made a change of plans. January 2014 Vincent was diagnosed with AML Leukemia, not feeling so well he went to the Doctor and had some blood work done and found this life changing news out. Absolutely taken back by this news the entire family and friends have been asking for prayers of healing, having a special needs son and making sure he received the best schooling, therapy, medicine and what ever was needed was always first on Vincents mind, he worked his tail off to provide the best for he and his wife. 


He began treatment & Chemotherapy for about 9 months, he was in and out of the hospital, pneumonia, sickness, depleted immune system, and battling this ugly disease never kept him down, his heart and mind were always in the state of mind that he would conquer and defeat. He would not back down, and so just before Thanksgiving he was declared "Cancer FREE" two words only the Lord can pass along... We celebrated with joy beyond anyone's belief, it was the best Thanksgiving ever, everyone shed tears of joy and let out a big "AMEN"... 
Vincent recently returned to work to try to get back to himself and the daily routines, being a dad & father, a son and a brother, a cousin and a friend, which he mastered so well, he just received a call on Ash Wednesday that the Cancer has returned and that he would need to return to the Doctors immediately and he would need to go through the Chemotherapy again, This time he would also need a bone marrow transplant. The love, prayers, kind words and support thus far have been amazing and we thank every one from the bottom of our hearts. I'm creating this page to help out with the loss of income, the expenses that they will incur and also to please ask that any and everyone go to www.getswabbed.org and get tested to be a bone marrow match, it is a very easy procedure and can save a life.
