Victor's "Fix It" cancer fight

Donation protected
Two years ago, Victor Dalpiaz was diagnosed with a brain tumor which he BEAT fair and square. With the best surgeon in the nation, a successful neurosurgery was performed along with intensive radiation and follow up for two years to monitor and be sure the baseball size tumor was not rearing it's ugly head! He was finally feeling like himself again, physically and mentally and had returned to work. Unfortunately, Victor has been challenged by this ugly monster again; this time with two smaller tumors...one on the cerebellum and one on the occipital lobe. This came as shocking news, as he had passed all MRI's on each follow up.
Victor and Erica are now in Madison, WI as I write this, undergoing yet another brain surgery today, and another one in a few days. It was too involved to remove both rumors at the same time.
Victor has wanted to keep this event more quiet, as he wanted his son, Gentry, to finish his baseball season without stress and for their daughter, Kristen, to be able to move on with her life without interruption.
One cannot ever understand why cancer affects so many, how it spreads, whom it chooses to attack, and what the results will be.
It surely seems unfair that he has been burdened with this yet again.
Victor is a loving family man. Devoted husband, father, friend, coach and hard worker. We believe that God is not done with Victor and he still has things "to fix." You see, he coined the term " fix it" when his baseball players were having an off day or when they were making errors that he knew they could fix! He challenged them to rise above their own weaknesses and overcome. Ironically, Victor is again having to fight, rise, and overcome.
A big fight ahead awaits him and we are standing with him to say NO to cancer! We ask that you spare any prayers that you can spare. Please keep him in your prayers in the days to come as more surgery is ahead. Please keep him and his family in your prayers as treatment is in the future along with a tough recovery. He will be unable to work for some time and Erica has to stay at home with him as he will not be able to be alone for a while. He is at risk for bleeding, stroke, and seizures for a period of time.
Thank you for your prayers. Also, we are raising money to help this family financially in the months ahead, as there will not be income to support a family and of course, expensive medical bills and medication. Anything at all is greatly appreciated. Victor and Erica are so proud and humbled by this. In fact, they wouldn't allow me to do this two years ago because they hated to ask others for help. I had to convince them to allow it this time :) Let's pull together and support this family, as they have stepped up and supported so many before. Victor has coached little league and competitive baseball in Fruita for over 10 years and has been an active member on the board as well. He believes in community and plans to return to his duties as soon as he is healthy again.
Thank you from Victor, Erica, Kristen and Gentry and all their family and friends.
