He is a retired combat veteran who selflessly dedicated 22 years to serving our country. After his military career, Victor continued his passion for helping others by testifying before the US Congress and collaborating with leaders like Gabby Giffords on critical initiatives aimed at reducing gun violence and improving mental health and suicide prevention among veterans.

<div>On April 21, 2024, Victor's life was profoundly altered when he experienced multiple life-threatening seizures. He was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive type of brain cancer located in a region that controls motor functions, rendering surgical options impossible. Genetic testing revealed that the tumor is unlikely to respond to standard chemotherapy treatments. <strong>His cancer has been linked to toxic exposure from burn pits during his combat tour in Iraq. <em>Doctors have given him less than 18 months to live.</em></strong>
