Hi, my name is Ebba P Karlsson.
I am one of the three founders of Victorious Angels, a collective of abuse-survivors from the modelling industry. Our mission is to help other survivors find their voice and share their stories.Today I am running this urgent fundraising for our organization.
For decades, the abuse within the modelling industry has gone unchecked. But the next wave of the #MeToo movement is underway with the official filing of a lawsuit against Gérald Marie, the former president of Elite Model Management, on September 21, 2020.
Marie has ‘categorically’ denied the accusations but, incidents have been reported dating as far back as the 1980’s.
On the 8th of February we received the news that the criminal investigation against Marie, that had been opened last year, has finally moved to the next stage. Eleven women who have filed their testimonies with the Paris prosecutor were contacted yesterday by the Paris police child protection department, Brigade de Protection des Mineurs. (Two of the accusers were minors at the time of the offences). A twelfth woman is expected to be contacted this week. The police detective in charge of the investigation has requested formal interviews with all of the women, to ensure the case moves forward.
The hearings are expected to take place in Paris once Covid restrictions are lifted.
It is our desire that every survivor has the opportunity to join us in person in Paris, France to share their testimonies and see justice served. In order to do this we need your help!

Donations will go directly to survivors needing financial assistance to cover travel and accommodations for the period they are required in Paris to provide their formal statements.
Victorious Angels are currently underway to become a nonprofit but meanwhile we are raising funds so that we can proceed with this important undertaking.
