Victorian Young Leaders to China

My 13-year-old daughter Paige has been given the opportunity to represent Australia as part of the Victorian Youth Leadership to China Program - Discovering and Learning in China.

Paige and 8 others from her school will be flying to China in March 2018.  They will be attending the Beijing Foreign Studies University for language classes and cultural history, including visits to The Great Wall, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Hutong, Temple of Heaven, The Summer Palace, Chinese acrobatic theatre and Silk Market for the first two weeks.

Then on to Shanghai or Nanjing to complete an in-school program consisting of; 

•  Chinese language classes
•  Morning exercises
•  Cultural classes
•  Attend some local subjects (e.g. Maths, Science,       English, PE, Arts or Music)
•  Self-study
•  Home visits – Buddy time (Weekends)
•  Day trips to nearby Nanjing attractions - Confucius temple, The City Wall, Xuanwu Lake, Yangzhou etc.
•  2 day Cultural tour – Suzhou and Shanghai

I am trying to raise funds to enable my daughter to have what I would call an experience of a life time.  We are not a wealthy family and are hoping to assist the other eight families as well by doing this fundraiser.

Paige is an incredibly wonderful person who deserves to attend this amazing once in a lifetime opportunity.  She is such a loving and caring person and I could not ask for a better daughter.   Unfortunately, I would not be able to grant this wish for my daughter without asking for your assistance.

The funds are required by Feb 22, 2018. Any donation no matter how small it is would be greatly appreciated as this trip is developing the future of our children and building international relationships.
